Which Canadian credit cards include airport lounge access?
+
Lounge benefits change often, so we list current cards at /ca/credit-cards/lounge-access. Air Canada, for example, names the premium Aeroplan cards that give Maple Leaf Lounge access on its own lounge page.
Can I bring guests to airport lounges with my credit card?
+
It depends on the card and the lounge. Priority Pass may charge per guest, per visit, depending on your plan or card benefit, and Air Canada charges a fee for additional guests at Maple Leaf Lounges, with some free guest allowances for elite members and eligible cardholders.
Are there lounges in Canadian airports?
+
Yes. Priority Pass lists locations at airports in Calgary, Edmonton, Montreal, Ottawa, Quebec City, Toronto (Pearson and Billy Bishop), Vancouver and Winnipeg, and Air Canada has Maple Leaf Lounges at major Canadian airports. Smaller airports may have none, so check before you travel.
Do I need to fly a particular airline to use credit card lounge access?
+
For Maple Leaf Lounges, yes: access requires a same-day departure on a flight marketed or operated by Air Canada or a Star Alliance airline. American Express says its Platinum cardmembers can use Plaza Premium lounges regardless of airline or cabin class. For Priority Pass you need a valid boarding pass, and some lounges add conditions; lounges inside Europe's Schengen areas, for example, only admit passengers travelling between Schengen countries.
How much is airport lounge access worth?
+
We don't put a dollar value on it. Weigh the visits you would realistically use, and anything you already get another way, against the card's annual fee, as FCAC suggests for any card benefit.
