How a comparison works

  1. Rule 1

    Differences first

Rows where your cards differ lead the table. Rows that are identical sit at the bottom, and rows none of your cards have on file are folded into one line instead of a column of blanks.

  2. Rule 2

    “Lower” is earned

On fees and interest we mark the lower figure — but only when every card’s figure is confirmed. If one is missing, we say which, and mark nothing.

  3. Rule 3

    “Not confirmed” is not zero

It means we don’t hold a checked figure for that card. It is never a zero in disguise — check the issuer’s terms for it.

Questions

Frequently asked

How do I compare credit cards in India?

Search for a card by name or bank, add 2 to 4 of them, and open the comparison. The rows where the cards differ come first, so you can see what separates them without reading every line.

What does “Not confirmed” mean?

We don’t hold a checked figure for that card, so we show a blank rather than a number. It does not mean the fee or rate is zero. Confirm it on the issuer’s own terms before you apply.

Why isn’t a winner marked on every row?

We only mark the lower annual fee, interest rate or foreign transaction fee when every card’s figure is confirmed and they differ. Earn rates and welcome offers are shown but never ranked: points in different programs aren’t worth the same, and one missing figure would turn a ranking into a guess.

How current is the comparison data?

Each card shows the month its annual fee was checked against the issuer, or says it has not been checked yet. A fee, interest rate, earn rate or welcome offer that is on file but not confirmed by a published issuer or regulator document is still shown, marked as not yet checked, and it is never used to call one card cheaper than another — a zero we cannot source is left blank rather than printed. Offers and fees change, so confirm the current terms with the issuer before you apply.
