File Nº 07 — Partnerships

Partner with PointsExplained.

We publish independent card data for readers who are actively comparing products. If you are an issuer, a bank, or a loyalty program, these are the ways we work together — card listings, sponsored notes, affiliate programs, and data licensing.

*we quote only figures we can substantiate — no traffic claims until real analytics exist.

Ways to work together

Four kinds of partnership

Each one keeps the same boundary: partners can buy placement and data, never conclusions.

i.

Card listings

Your card in the ledger: a record built from published terms, shown wherever readers compare — category pages, comparison tables, and the recommendation quiz.

  • A card page built from the product's published terms
  • Inclusion in category and comparison tables
  • A public corrections route for anything we got wrong
ii.

Affiliate programs

Performance partnerships with transparent attribution. Apply links are tracked, rate-limited, and always disclosed.

  • Apply links routed through tracked, rate-limited redirects
  • Every link marked sponsored and nofollow
  • Commission terms agreed per program
iii.

Sponsored content

Paid placements, labeled as such. Sponsorship buys position, never conclusions — rankings and reviews are not for sale.

  • Sponsored placements labeled inline, every time
  • Disclosure per our published affiliate policy
  • No influence on rankings, reviews, or the quiz
iv.

Data licensing

Licensed access to the card catalogue itself — the structured records behind the site, as recorded.

  • 2,700+ card records across 7 countries
  • Fees, offers, and earn rates as structured fields
  • Unknowns stay explicitly unknown — no filled-in guesses

Editorial independence

Rankings and reviews are built from published product terms. How we weigh them is documented publicly — the same document a partner reads is the one we hold ourselves to.

Questions

Partnerships, explained plainly

How does PointsExplained maintain editorial independence?

Partnership status never influences card rankings, reviews, or quiz recommendations. Sponsored placements are labeled inline, and our methodology is published for anyone to read. When a partner's product ranks well, it is because its published terms rank well.

What geographies do you cover?

Seven markets: Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Brazil, Portugal, and India. Each market has its own card ledger, comparison pages, and country-specific content.

How are affiliate relationships disclosed?

Every affiliate link is marked sponsored and nofollow, affiliate placements are disclosed on the page, and the full policy is published on our affiliate disclosure page. Readers always know when a link pays us.

Do you have minimum partnership requirements?

We work with issuers, banks, fintechs, and loyalty programs of any size. The one requirement is a product we can list on its published terms — figures we cannot substantiate do not go in the ledger.
